Bryan is a graduate student in the Chemical and Environmental Engineering Department at the University of Arizona and holds an MS in hydrogeology from Washington State University and a BS in Geology from the University of Colorado. Bryan was a Science Foundation of Arizona Fellow from 2008 to 2010, a Biosphere 2 Science and Society Fellow from 2009 to 2010, and a Peace Corps Fellow from 2010 to 2011. Bryan served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Benin, West Africa from 2001 to 2004 and worked on several projects ranging from AIDS education and water conservation to urban sanitation and combating desertification. A major portion of his first year in Peace Corps was planning and building public latrines in outlying villages that lacked any form of sanitation. His current interests include water treatment and sanitation strategies for low density rural communities, grass roots environmental activism, and characterizing non-point agricultural pollutants and their fate in the environment. |
